All known design faults were addressed as well. A thermistor was still added to slow start the amp (good for the power switch, transformer and tubes) and to reduce the typically high modern wall voltages to be more in-line with what the original design called for. We try to focus on maintaining originality as much as possible but replace all of the components in the power supply and bias supply, essentially rebuilding it from the ground up with fresh resistors, diodes and ultra high quality Nichicon and Panasonic capacitors for ultimate reliability.

The glass has minimal dropouts (this series is infamous for losing letting on the glass!) and one of the metal faceplate bars was custom made from aluminum since the unit came missing the original. The faceplate is incredibly clean for it's age and the chassis cleaned up nicely as well. The receiver itself is in wonderful cosmetic condition with all of the original knob brights. This is the earlier version which essentially has a variation in the MPX circuit.
